Before it Reaches Your Child
Before any instrument leaves our shop, it goes through a hands-on inspection and preparation process. All done right here by our team!
We don’t just pull instruments off a shelf and ship them out. We take the time to make sure everything is clean, adjusted, and ready to play from day one.
Every Instrument Is Carefully Checked
We inspect each instrument for alignment, playability, and overall condition – making sure everything works the way it should.
- Valves, slides, and keys are tested and adjusted
- Any stuck or misaligned parts are corrected
- Worn or damaged components are replaced
Our goal is simple: your child shouldn’t struggle because of their instrument.

Deep Cleaned & Sanitized
Each instrument is fully cleaned inside and out before it’s rented.
- Wind instruments are disassembled and cleaned thoroughly
- Internal buildup and residue are removed
- Mouthpieces and contact areas are sanitized
Even the smallest areas, like keywork, are cleaned by hand

Repaired & Play-Tested
If something isn’t right, we fix it before it ever reaches your child.
- Dents are corrected where they affect sound and performance
- Pads, corks, felts, and springs are replaced as needed
- Instruments are reassembled, oiled, and tested
Every instrument is play-tested to make sure it responds properly.

Fully Stocked & Ready to Go
We make sure your child has what they need right away.
Depending on the instrument, this may include:
- Reeds, cork grease, oils, and cleaning supplies
- Mouthpiece, ligature, and cap
- Rosin and a freshly cleaned bow
Everything is placed neatly in the case, ready for the first day of class.

Clean Case, Matched & Organized
Even the case gets attention.
- Cases are cleaned, vacuumed, and inspected
- Serial numbers are verified and matched
- Missing or damaged parts are replaced
So everything arrives organized, clean, and ready to use.

Done Locally, Right in Your Neighborhood
This work isn’t outsourced or automated.
It’s done right here in our shop, by our repair professionals who LOVE to work with local schools and students every day.
We see these instruments in your schools. We maintain them throughout the year. And we stand behind every one we send out.

Why It Matters
A properly prepared instrument makes a huge difference, especially for beginners.
It means:
- Easier first sounds
- Less frustration
- More confidence
And a better chance your child sticks with music. <3
