Recitals and Performance Opportunities

A celebration of growth, confidence, and creativity.

Our student recitals are a celebration of growth, confidence, and community. Held twice a year, they give every student a chance to shine, no matter their age, instrument, or experience level.

📅 When Do They Happen?
We host five recitals each year:

  • Spring Anniversary Recital: Weekend before Memorial Day
  • Winter Holiday Recital: First weekend in December

These are formal recitals that are catered for our students who have been taking lessons for a while and are no stranger to performing. This allows our more intermediate and advanced students to shine. There is a seperate dress rehearsal day a week or two prior to prep for the big day!

  • Summer Concert Series: Third weekends of June, July and August

These are more informal concerts that are catered for our students who have never performed for anyone. This is their first concert that is outside of their school program if they are involved with those. Everyone needs a place that start somewhere, and these beginner- intermediate friendly concerts. There is no dress rehearsal for these concerts, just come and do your best!

📍 Where Are They Held?
Recitals take place at welcoming local venues with great acoustics:

  • First Presbyterian Church – New Brighton, PA
  • Stage 1011- New Brighton, PA

👥 Who Can Perform?
All current BMC lesson students are welcome to participate! Whether you’re a beginner or advanced player, all instruments and styles are encouraged.

🎵 What’s the Format?
Each student performs one piece, selected with their teacher. Teachers are there to support and cheer on every performance.

Recitals are a great way to:

  • Build confidence
  • Show progress
  • Share music with family and friends

💵 Cost to Participate
Recitals are free—we believe in keeping these experiences accessible for all our students.
