Before you pack up that instrument, take a moment to check in with us. Whether your child is moving on, switching instruments, or taking a break—we’re here to support the journey, no matter the direction it takes.
Thinking of returning?
We get it. Things change. But before you return, here are a few things to consider:
- Your rental equity builds over time—and may already be adding up toward ownership.
- Switching instruments? You don’t have to return—we can exchange and transfer your equity.
- Taking a break? Keeping your rental active holds your spot, keeps your instrument familiar, and continues building equity.
Still sure? That’s okay—we want to make the return process just as easy.
📞 Here’s how to return your instrument:
Returning for School Pickup
1️⃣ Call or text either location to schedule a return.
2️⃣ Our staff will send you a “Scheduled Return” receipt via email.
3️⃣ Print that page and attach it to the outside of the case.
4️⃣ Drop off the instrument in the designated area at school – our staff will let you know where.
5️⃣ Once the instrument returns to our shop and passes inspection, your contract will be closed, and you’ll receive a final receipt via email.
Returning In-Store
1️⃣ Bring the instrument to either of our store locations during business hours.
2️⃣ Our team will inspect and check in the instrument while you’re there.
3️⃣ Your contract will be closed immediately, and you’ll get a receipt before you leave.
Before you return:
- Double-check that the serial number on the instrument matches the one on the outside of the case (for like-new rentals)
- Gather all parts (bows, mouthpieces, straps, etc.) to avoid replacement fees. Any unused reeds or care products are yours to keep and are non-refundable.
- Flute – case, instrument, and cleaning rod
- Clarinet, Saxophone – case, instrument, mouthpiece, ligature, mouthpiece cap, neck cap, neck strap (saxophone)
- Oboe – case, instrument
- Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Baritone – case, instrument, mouthpiece
- Percussion Bell Kit – case, bells, instrument stand, sticks, mallets, drum pad, and music rack
- Percussion Snare Drum – case, drum, rubber pad, instrument stand, drum sticks
- Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass – case, instrument, bow
