There’s something special about May at Brighton Music Center. The school year is winding down, recitals and concerts are in full swing, and we start to see that spark in customers’ eyes. The one that says, “I’m ready for what’s next.” But for us, May means one thing above all: the Anniversary of Brighton Music Center. (and a REALLY great sale!!)
If you’ve been part of the BMC family for a while, you already know what that means. The signs go up, the shelves are stocked, and the buzz begins. It’s the sale we wait all year for. Not just because of the discounts (though they’re pretty incredible) but because of what it represents. A celebration. A tradition. A reminder of how far we’ve come.
Brighton Music Center first opened its doors in 1958. Jim Botti and Jim Kaplan, two band directors, built the business from a genuine love of music and community. They started small with just one storefront and focused on serving local musicians and schools with care and integrity. Over the decades, we’ve grown, evolved, and moved with the times, but that core idea hasn’t changed. We’re still here to connect people with the joy of playing music and making creating music accessible to everyone.
Now, 67 years later, we’re proud to carry that mission forward. And every year, our Anniversary Sale gives us a chance to say thank you. Thank you to the parents who’ve trusted us with their children’s first rentals. To the students who’ve walked through our lesson studio doors week after week. To the teachers who’ve partnered with us to support their programs. And to the musicians who’ve shared their stories and dreams with us over the years.
Of course, it wouldn’t be our Anniversary Sale without the Wheel of Savings. If you’ve never spun it, you’re in for a treat. At the time of your purchase, you walk up to the big colorful wheel and give it a spin. Where it lands? That’s your extra discount – anywhere from 10 to 50 percent off. The sale runs from May 17 through May 24 this year, ending on Memorial Day weekend. That’s one full week to explore markdowns across the store and, yes, spin the wheel.
