Our Band Instrument Repair technicians are able to service all brass and woodwind instruments, and provide expert and cost effective service to our customers. Everywhere from student model to professional instruments, each one gets the same meticulous, quality work.

Services range from yearly maintenance to full cleanings, dent removal, re-pads, and more. For brass, we offer a wide variety of work including ultrasonic cleanings. Brighton Music Center is one of the only repair shops in the area to have an ultrasonic tank big enough to fit a tuba! Ultrasonic uses a mix of environmentally safe chemicals, heat, and vibration to provide the best clean possible!

These are just a few general prices of repair our repair work. If any of these jobs do not cover the extent of the work needed, we will call you first with an estimate to get approved.

Woodwinds

Clean Oil Adjust: A routine service that includes a full cleaning, key oiling, and mechanical adjustments to restore optimal playability. Recommended as regular maintenance to keep your instrument in solid playing condition.

Play Condition: Includes everything in the Clean, Oil, and Adjust service, plus replacement of up to 4 pads or corks as needed. Perfect for instruments that are mostly functional but need minor attention to get back into playing shape.

Repad: A full overhaul. Every pad is replaced, the instrument receives a complete ultrasonic cleaning, and is reassembled and adjusted for peak performance. Ideal for older or heavily-used instruments in need of a fresh start.

Ultrasonic Cleaning for Brass Instruments

Ultrasonic cleaning uses high-frequency sound waves to remove buildup from inside your instrument— no harsh chemicals. It’s safe, deep, and effective. Included in our chem-clean services, it helps your horn play better, last longer, and stay healthier.

Regular ultrasonic cleaning prevents buildup that can lead to corrosion, stuck slides, and poor airflow. Getting it done once a year keeps your instrument playing its best—and avoids costly repairs down the line.

In order to perform the cleaning service, all moving parts must be taken apart. If there are any stuck parts, such as a slide or cap, there may be additional charges per part.
