Basic Restring
Quick and clean. We’ll remove your old strings, install new ones, and get you tuned up.

  • Acou/Elec 6-String: $15 + cost of strings
  • Classical: $20+ cost of strings

Deluxe Restring
Includes everything in a basic restring plus fretboard cleaning and conditioning. Perfect for regular maintenance.

  • Acou/Elec 6-String: $25+ cost of strings
  • Classical:$30+ cost of strings

Setup (Standard): We adjust the neck, action, intonation, and more for optimal playability and tone. Ideal for changing string gauges or seasonal tuning issues.

  • Standard 6-String: $40 + cost of strings

Setup (Floyd Rose / Floating Bridge)
Specialized setup for floating trem systems, including full tension balancing and fine-tuning. A must if you want your trem to stay rock-solid.

  • Floyd Setup:$80 + cost of strings

Pickup issues? Scratchy pots? No output? We repair and replace:

About the tech:

Vince Gorman is a bassist, luthier, and educator with a rich and diverse background in both performance and instrument repair.

With over two decades of experience in string instrument repair, Vince honed his craft under the guidance of several orchestral luthiers and guitar technicians in the Pittsburgh area. He is a proud member of the Guild of American Luthiers and has completed the Seymour Duncan Guitar Wiring Program. His expertise spans a wide range of instruments, including:

  • Guitars (acoustic and electric)
  • Electric bass
  • Mandolin
  • Banjo
  • Dulcimer
  • Autoharp
  • Bouzouki
  • Ukulele

He also specializes in orchestral string instruments such as:

  • Violin
  • Viola

In addition to repairs and restorations, Vince builds custom, scratch-built basses and guitars, blending craftsmanship with creativity.

Outside the workshop, Vince is an accomplished double and electric bass player with a versatile performance background spanning multiple musical genres. He studied Jazz and Classical Bass at Slippery Rock University and currently maintains a teaching studio at Brighton Music Center, where he continues to share his passion and knowledge with students of all levels.
